CHALLENGE

A new product launch is never easy, even if the product/service owner is a well-known marketer or entrepreneur. People launch products all the time, over 20,000 apps are launched each month. With such steep competition, there’s a massive fight for getting customers and there are countless products that fail in the end.

On the other hand, people like to discover new things more than they like to discover old things. As a result, having a platform that allows makers and marketers to launch their products or services and get in touch with their first real users can increase their chance of success.

SOLUTION

Provide a seamless onboarding process and clear instructions for product owners and help showcase products with visually appealing media and effective filtering options.
Let users give feedback and review to establish credibility and transparency. get them to engage with the community to foster collaboration and networking.
Add Gamification elements to incentivize user participation.
Help product owners to connect with potential customers. Robust analytics and insights inform decision-making.

Research

Industry benchmarking
We carried out industry benchmarking via desk research to understand the value proposition of various similar products available globally, their interaction flows, and feature offerings. This allowed us to tailor our customer-facing app to meet users' expectations from all over the world.

Persona

The information collected from the initial documents received from the client was condensed and consolidated into 3 personas/user groups.

These artifacts allowed us to map product features back to user pain points and needs/wants, ensuring that the end-users are always top-of-mind for the design and BizOps teams.

User Journey Mapping

Based on the shortlisted features and milestones identified through the research, we created a Customer Journey Map artifact to visually show where each feature is interacted with by the user groups, demonstrating the value and impact of each feature across the entire journey for the 3 users.

Mindmap

After the user journey mapping, the product team has a clear picture of what the problem is, the user personas, and the companies’ competitive advantage. We used mind mapping to figure out what the web app needs to do and how it will do it.

Sketching

Sketching is a powerful process to use because it always helps discover the best ideas and solutions to a design problem. It is a difficult task to ‘freestyle’ a complex design out of midair without hashing out the details. After sketching, we evaluated the sketches we prepared and chose the ones that align more with the business goal and that can provide a better user experience.
